Ragnarök

According to the Norse Mythology, the world ended with Ragnarok. The gods went to war, and the wolf Fenris ate the sun, moon and the gods. This is my interpretation of how this powerful wolf swallowed everything while the whole world went black.

Medium: Oil paint and glitter on canvas, with an animation projected on it and a study in alternate colors.

Size: 35” x 35”

The making of Fenris

I use ancient shapes and ornaments of this wolf and figures from engravings on wood from findings in viking graves. I make them my own by reimagining their colors, shapes and expressions.
